Thomas Brawner is an entrepreneur with a passion for real estate and a vision for building businesses that make a meaningful impact. After earning his BS in Marketing, he began his career in sales and commercial insurance, where he developed strong skills in communication, negotiation, and business risk management. During this time, his wife, Madison, was growing her career in the preschool and childcare field, eventually becoming a center director.
Driven by a desire to create a service-based business that would positively impact his community, Thomas combined his entrepreneurial vision with Madison’s childcare expertise. In 2019, they relocated from California to Florida to bring their dream to life.
After moving to Lakeland, Thomas spent two years developing Alta Schoolhouse from the ground up, managing all aspects of real estate development, including rezoning, permitting, city approvals, and construction. In 2022, they opened their first location. After joining the Child Care Success Academy in 2023, they implemented strong systems and built an administrative team that allowed them to step back from daily operations. Today, Madison is a stay-at-home mom to their three children and homeschools their oldest, while Thomas oversees the administrative team and leads expansion and development efforts.
Thomas is deeply passionate about the early childhood industry because of its far-reaching impact. He believes the decisions made within a childcare business affect not only children, but also families, staff, and entire communities. As a coach, he is committed to helping other child care owners and leaders implement meaningful changes that create lasting, positive outcomes for the people they serve.
